Risk prevention guide against exposure to breathable crystalline silica in the workplace
The National Silicosis Institute (INS) has published a "Risk prevention guide against exposure to breathable crystalline silica in the workplace".
Royal Decree 1154/2020 of 22 December, amending Royal Decree 665/1997 of 12 May, on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogenic agents in the workplace, to include work that involves exposure to breathable crystalline silica as carcinogenic. In addition, in its explanatory statement it notes that the INS will draw up a technical guide to prevent risk from exposure to BCS in the workplace, with technical support from the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (INSST).
